Spean Bridge Memorial

The Spean Bridge Memorial is an iconic monument in Scotland, which was dedicated to the Commando’s and unveiled by The Queen in 1952.

When Mr R Roddie was made aware that the Spean Bridge Memorial was in need of repair, the company volunteered to restore the monument.

As this cause was close to the heart of Mr Roddie he contacted Mr Ronnie Williams of Edinburgh who had led an active life in the commando’s. After introducing himself to the latter, Mr Roddie offered his companies services freely. SCS arranged to restore this memorial to its former glory by restoration clean and re-bronzing of the statue. The surrounding area was also assigned to be cleaned by SCS group.

This operation was noted and recognised by the Royal Family and a letter of thanks was duly received from The Royal Household.
